[...] 19. imBannerRotater [...]

This is a great plugin. It would be nice to have rotate + random. I set it up and it rotates nicely but, it goes in order of the image list in the php file.

I used your update, but i am still stuck with my 1st problem for safari and chrome and also IE.

The images are not sliding the correct amount of pixels for each image in safari and chrome. I originally thought it was something to do with easing, and I thought disabling it fixed the problem, but it has not.

Do you have any clues as to how i can fix this?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been so busy working on a project that I haven’t been able to keep up with my blog (for the last 4 months).

I updated the plugin so that it works in IE and Safari.

i had 2 problems using carousel option. I think they are fixed, and thought other may find this useful.

1. Sometimes when the page loads, the animation does not slide the images far enough to the left . instead of sliding the full width of the image (150px) it will only slide 5px. If I reload sometimes it rectifies itself.
My gut told me this is a problem with the easing option. I set the option to nothing and so far i have been unable to reproduce the problem, lets hope that fixed it. (easing=”)

2.I was having a problem with safari. The images do not load, and I get 2 errors
-SyntaxError: Parse error /sites/all/themes/spanish_chamber/js/jquery.imBannerRotater-1.1.js:253
– TypeError: Result of expression ‘$(“#patrons”).imBannerRotater’ [undefined] is not a function.

To sort out this problem… on line 253 and 263, the attribute class should have quotes, i placed quotes around the word “class” and it fixed the safari problem. (Les you may want to update the code)

This plugin is great.

I implemented this plugin in the footer to display custom text images (quotes) that displays and rotates randomly, everything seems to work quite well in almost every browser, except Safari, Safari Iphone and IE =S.

When checked the example you have on your website, it seems not work either on any of those browsers (safari/IE).

Any suggestion to make it work? thanks you!

I haven’t a clue about the reasons why it doesn’t display in Trident-based browsers but the jumpiness is definitely because the replacing image will not use the same space as the image to be replaced until it has disappeared completely.

Just a little further info: it looks better in Google Chrome but it seems to mess with the back button. Opera acts like IE and doesn’t show it. What am I doing wrong?

Hi and thanks for all your work. I have a problem with implementing your plugin when I use the “interval” option. The image that replaces loads below the first and then jumps up when the first image fades. So I set the div to overflow hidden but it still jerks into place rather than fades in as the other fades out which is what I had hoped for.

Also I have just checked it in IE/Avant and nothing appears at all – with or without the interval option.

I am new to JQuery and thought I was getting on fine but clearly I need some help.
